This is a wonderful lyric from a Bob Dylan song I was listening to yesterday. Also a new Mozart Concerto was released to the public yesterday. Busy day. My car stalled this morning. I got it to work again, but I have no money to fix the problem, I also have a few cavities, but I have no money to fix those either.  Being an artist during an economic crisis is hard.

you can listen to the new concerto's on this page:

wedding 08/03/2009

Attended a friends wedding reception Saturday. It was great! Just a reception because they got married in Jamaica. Plenty of Red Stripe available. It reminds me of how wonderful it is to get  married, but a little awkward. Having everyone stare at you (and it's not like being on stage in a play) it's different. People are looking at you (happy for you and usually in a generally euphoric mood) Cutting the cake, having your first dance, walking into the room and seeing everyone, staring at them staring at  you. I believe when I do get married, we are going to emphasize the awkward moments until they are so damn uncomfortable they are no longer awkward (then all that's left to do is laugh and dance your ass off) :)

Madison (dog) did not survive from cancer. He fell into a coma Monday and passed away. We loved him and I will always have the fondest memories of him.

Merc and I played a wonderful game of word association last night. Which he turned into a fucking awesome song. I love his music. Really you should hear it! Come to find out, I should state this more in question form...

When you are playing word association, do you try to say the first word that comes to your head or do you try to say the image. Try it!

When i say "Oranges" seems a lot of people say "apples", but what image comes to mind, for me right now is a Pineapple (I know! It's really strange)

Try it with your love or friend or both.  It is a great exercise.

RAIN 07/22/2009

If you didn't know or if you do not live in Austin we haven't had any rain in about a month. It is currently raining as I sit here writing. I love it! My plants have all died. It's a bummer, but my basil  and okra are still holding on for dear life. The corn is also doing very well. I have made a few new pieces.
I will put them on the site when they are completed. I am thinking about trying Esty to sell a few things. I am also starting a teaching job for a middle school, just 2 hours a week teaching art. Very excited about that. I love being able to help kids understand that there is a world of creativity waiting for them out there. That if you want to you can keep your inner child till your 105. Now I just have to figure out what to teach...

I do love this event that Austin does once a month. The City Wide Garage Sale.
We decided to hop on over there last weekend. It is basically a flea market, but there are some embroidered pillowcases instead of socks and underwear. Speaking of I bought one. It has embroidered flowers on it, another with seagulls. I love them both. Mercury fell in love with a Jamaica scarf.
It can sometimes be disappointing however. I found many items that would like to buy, but no prices. I'm not one of those people that likes to talk a lot to strangers. I can tend to be a little reserved unless I know you. I dislike it when a vendor does not put a price tag on items. If you ask them then they know you are interested and can predict how stupid you are by talking with them. By doing this they jack up the price to double the amount because they think you will pay. Well I am not that person, if there is not a price on it I will not buy it, it is that simple. Just bugs me a little. One of those stupid pet peeves.

Leukemia update 07/16/2009

They are going to try Doggie chemotherapy. The vet said that it has had a 75% positive effect on most dogs, which is great!

i love waking up in the morning and going for a bike ride. Just before it gets to bloody hot here in Austin. A ride to the coffee shop. How I love these little moments.

This morning my mother called me at 6:45. My dog has Leukemia. She may put him down today or Monday. She is in Montana and the vet only comes in town on these days. We have had him for 14 years. i knew it would happens someday, but this week what not made for such a sad day.
