I do love this event that Austin does once a month. The City Wide Garage Sale.
We decided to hop on over there last weekend. It is basically a flea market, but there are some embroidered pillowcases instead of socks and underwear. Speaking of I bought one. It has embroidered flowers on it, another with seagulls. I love them both. Mercury fell in love with a Jamaica scarf.
It can sometimes be disappointing however. I found many items that would like to buy, but no prices. I'm not one of those people that likes to talk a lot to strangers. I can tend to be a little reserved unless I know you. I dislike it when a vendor does not put a price tag on items. If you ask them then they know you are interested and can predict how stupid you are by talking with them. By doing this they jack up the price to double the amount because they think you will pay. Well I am not that person, if there is not a price on it I will not buy it, it is that simple. Just bugs me a little. One of those stupid pet peeves.
They are going to try Doggie chemotherapy. The vet said that it has had a 75% positive effect on most dogs, which is great!
i love waking up in the morning and going for a bike ride. Just before it gets to bloody hot here in Austin. A ride to the coffee shop. How I love these little moments.
This morning my mother called me at 6:45. My dog has Leukemia. She may put him down today or Monday. She is in Montana and the vet only comes in town on these days. We have had him for 14 years. i knew it would happens someday, but this week what not made for such a sad day.
That's right I said it! i love salad!
i especially love spinach, mushroom, red onion with feta and Honey Mustard (maybe bacon).
I adore it!
We are trying to have a pot luck/ beer brewing party every month. We just had our July party. It was a lot tamer than the past parties. We did a reading of Ubu Roi (we are working on). Everyone seemed to really enjoy it.
We had cookies, beer, ribs, beer, cupcakes, beer, etc.. soo much food!

Man Ray
I want to go out with my friends and have fun. I want to stay up and watch the WHOLE movie. I would also like to sleep. I have to choose one or the other... I believe "sleep" is starting to win.
We completed the whole series of Michael Palin's trip around the world in 80 days, such as Phineas Fogg did in the popularized novel.
It was a wonderful series full of human kindness around the world! A few moments I even cried a little. Wonderful show! Oh how it made me long to go on a trip, to anywhere really...

I loved this man in the show. He is only in one episode of course. I believe on the ship from Dubai to Bombay... can't quite remember. maybe Jetta to Bombay (anyways I know they were going to Bombay). Palin listens to a little Bruce Springsteen on his cassette player with this gentleman and a life long friendship ensues...
There is so much to say, but I'm too tired to say it all...
people ask so often, "how did it go?" I've said it all. the excitement, the disappointments, the exhilaration, the drunken spilling of wine, good times. I will go into the details when I have recovered.
